Project Pathways

A Project Pathway is a list of items that must be completed during the lifetime of a project. Two types of items may appear on a Project Pathway.

  • Pathway Actions – are action items that must be completed and may include actions like “ensure 508 compliance” or “consult the security team”.
  • Pathway Artifacts – are tangible items that must be prepared (and often approved) such as a requirements document or a product design.

One-Click Pathway Creation

Each Pathway Action and Pathway Artifact can be associated with a Project Stage, a Project Type, and a Methodology by the organization or PMO. In this way the system knows where each belongs.

When a project starts, an accurate Project Pathway can be created with the click of a button. The system automatically assigns the appropriate Pathway Actions and Pathway Artifacts based on Project Type and Methodology.

At each project stage, Project Pathway presents Action Items and Artifacts that need to be completed. You can include closed items or show only what remains.

Project Pathway Details

For each Pathway Action and Pathway Artifact that appears in your Project Pathway, you can view a page full of details.

These details include instructions on what to do, when to do it, how to do it, and how to locate additional detailed job aids. You might also see how reviews need to be organized, who needs to review, who needs to approve, and where the approved artifact needs to be stored.
